Hey, I’m Joe McLachlan, multi-disciplinary designer specialising in digital product & brand.

I’m interested in designing impactful, novel and creative digital experiences to solve tough but meaningful problems.

Currently, I'm Senior Product Designer at Posh, leading the design of the Organizer side of the marketplace.

Previously, I was Qantas, leading the design of the travel experience in the Qantas App; at Dovetail, designing AI tools and workflows; and strategic design studio Future Friendly, working across financial, government and education sectors to design better everyday products and services.

At the heart of all these projects — and why I chose to pursue design — is an everyday love for three things: solving problems, making things, and learning new skills.


In my design work, my philosophy is simply to be curious.

Be curious when working on a new problem, be ok with not having all the answers, and embrace absorbing knowledge.

Be curious enough to question the way things are, and explore new opportunities outside of the obvious problems or brief.

And be curious about the people who are affected by my designs; testing ideas with them early and often.
